Didmarton Tickets On Sale 1st March!
Tickets for Didmarton Bluegrass Festival 2022 go on sale 9am Tuesday 1st March! This year we are working with a new ticket system and platform, all Early Bird and Advance ticket sales will be processed via Eventbrite, we hope this will make the processes easier to manage for you and us.
Ticket prices for the Didmarton weekend have not changed since 2017 and although we would love to keep them still further, all our costs to run the festival have increased by too much to do so, therefore unfortunately we have little choice but to make a change. This year Early Bird tickets will be £75, Advance tickets £80 and then £85 on the gate. Despite the increase we believe this still represents excellent value for money.
With a full weekend ticket you can arrive at 2pm on Thursday 1st September and stay until noon on Monday 5th September. There are concerts from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon, plus an open mic stage, a bonfire, picking sessions, workshops, dancing, 2 bars stocked full of real ale and cider, stalls and food aplenty and the chance to meet friends old and new! If you join us on the Thursday and stay until Monday morning, that’s just £18.75 a night, you can easily pay that and more just for a campsite pitch, without all the amazing entertainment.
So grab yourself a bargain and order your Early Bird tickets from 9am on Tuesday 1st March.
We are so excited to finally be able to bring Didmarton Bluegrass Festival back and we have a fantastic lineup of bands for you, announcements on those coming very shortly!
See you in September folks, let’s make Didmarton 2022 the biggest and best ever!

R.I.P. Dave Bresnen
We have some very sad news to share with you, Dave Bresnen, stalwart of the British Bluegrass community, a true gentleman and good friend to many of us, sadly passed away last night following a stroke. Please see our Facebook page for a message from his son, Matthew. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to his family and friends, he will be very much missed by all who knew him. When you have a minute, pick up your banjo, guitar, mandolin, dobro, fiddle or bass and play a tune or song for Dave and remember the good times and fine music we all enjoyed in his company.

Didmarton 2021 Announcement.
A message from the Didmarton Bluegrass Festival Committee.
It is with deep regret that following many weeks of planning and analysis, the DBF Committee have had to make the decision we all wanted to avoid and postpone our next festival until September 2022.
We have considered the uncertainties surrounding the government road map and the risks involved in proceeding, which could compromise both the high standards we have built for the festival and its long term future.
We have also given a lot of thought to the most important element of Didmarton Bluegrass Festival……our guests. Without you we have no festival and we would never want to put any of you at risk, or give you something less than you have come to expect.
The committee is now focused on Didmarton 2022 and the delivery of what we hope will be our best event ever. In the meantime, please keep watching our website and social media for updates and perhaps a few tempting treats before next year.
Take care, stay safe, look out for each other and keep on pickin’.

Didmarton 2021 Update.
The Didmarton Bluegrass Festival Committee see the announcement yesterday as a very positive step towards being able to bring back our event for 2021.
There is a lot to digest and consider before we can make an informed decision on the prospect of a festival this year, but any decision the committee makes will be based first and foremost on your safety and the long term future of Didmarton Bluegrass Festival.
Fingers crossed for 3rd-5th September, at least we have a beginning and a glimmer of hope.
Stay Safe.

Didmarton Bluegrass Online Festival!
Hello folks! As you know, Didmarton Bluegrass Festival 2020 cannot happen this year due to obvious reasons and we know you will be missing the festival next weekend as much as we all will be, so in an attempt to lessen the blow we are having a kind of virtual festival on Facebook instead. The current plan is for there to be a concert slot on Friday evening and two on Saturday, an afternoon and an evening session. These will consist of some live streaming music and video watch parties that we can all watch and have a virtual chat during. Some will just be individual songs, some full sets. There will more information about the virtual concerts during the week as we finalise the schedule and other fun posts you can get involved in, so watch this space.
We hope you will join us to mark the 32nd Didmarton weekend on our Facebook page and enjoy some wonderful music together, even if we can’t all be under one marquee roof this year.Roll on Friday and the Didmarton Bluegrass Online Festival!
Important Update – Didmarton 2020 Postponed!
We are certain that you are all well aware of the ongoing situation with the Covid19 pandemic, so we don’t expect it to come as any surprise that we sadly have to announce the postponement of Didmarton 2020 until 2021. It was not an easy decision or one that the committee wanted to have to make, but as with so many festivals and events this year we are out of options and up against deadlines. With government guidelines as they stand and the pandemic continuing, there is simply no way it can happen.
As we can’t gather to watch music, chat, catch up and play music together this year, we will be looking to host something like a virtual festival on our Facebook page over the usual Didmarton festival weekend. Videos of bands that should have been performing this year and videos from previous festivals, that we can all watch together at the same time. It won’t be the same, but at least we’ll be able to connect with each other in our love of bluegrass music. (We are investigating a simultaneous broadcast here, on our website too, so keep an eye out for any news)
Do not despair, we will be be back next year!
Stay safe, look out for each other and keep on pickin’.
